Real-World Use Cases #
Here’s how you can put LenzScore to work,
1. Lead Scoring #
What it is?
Lead scoring assigns a numerical value (points) to contacts based on how likely they are to convert. Actions like visiting a pricing page or opening an email signal interest, and those actions can be scored accordingly.
Why it matters?
It helps your sales and marketing teams focus on leads who are most engaged or closest to buying, improving conversion rates and shortening the sales cycle.
When to use it?
- You want to prioritize outreach to the hottest leads
- Your sales team needs a way to rank or filter prospects
- You’re running inbound marketing or lead nurturing campaigns
How to implement in LenzScore
- Create a category called Lead Score or Sales Readiness
- Use automations to add points for,
- Visiting high-intent pages
- Filling out forms
- Clicking specific email links
- Attending webinars
- Optionally subtract points for inactivity or unsubscribes
- Use point thresholds to trigger alerts or move leads to sales workflows
- Use the point validity feature to ensure scores reflect recent engagement, not outdated activity.
2. Loyalty Programs #
What it is?
Loyalty programs reward customers with points for repeat business, referrals, or actions that indicate long-term value. These points can be redeemed for perks, discounts, or rewards.
Why it matters?
Loyal customers are more profitable. Rewarding them builds retention and advocacy, which can reduce churn and increase customer lifetime value.

3. Customer Engagement #
What it is?
Engagement scoring tracks how actively your contacts interact with your brand. Via content, events, onboarding, or support. Points reflect participation and responsiveness.
Why it matters?
Engaged customers are more likely to convert, refer others, and renew services. It also helps you spot disengagement before churn happens.

4. Gamification #
What it is?
Gamification uses game-like elements to make customer actions more fun and engaging. It taps into motivation and reward psychology.
Why it matters?
It can increase participation, habit formation, and brand stickiness. Especially effective in education, training, health, or community-driven experiences.

- Track “Lifetime Earned” to understand loyalty
Frequently Asked Questions #
Q: Can I rename a point category later?
A: Yes. Renaming it will update everywhere it’s used.
Q: What happens if I deactivate a category?
A: Points stay stored but won’t count in the total LenzScore. You can reactivate them anytime.
Q: Are expired points still visible?
A: Expired points disappear from the “Available” total but still show up in “Lifetime Earned.”
Q: Can I automate point addition and deduction?
A: Absolutely. Use LenzVU automations to award or subtract points based on user behavior.
Q: What happens if a client doesn’t have enough points when a deduction is applied?
A: If a client doesn’t have enough points in a category to cover a deduction, their points for that category will automatically be set to zero. For example, if they have 100 points and an automation tries to deduct 150, the system will reduce their balance to 0. It won’t go negative.
